Research on Two-Way Contra-Rotating Axial-Flow Pump–Turbine with Various Blade Angles in Pump Mode

In tidal two-way contra-rotating units, significant differences in performance often occur when arranging the front and rear impellers, which requires an optimized design of impellers. To solve this problem, by reducing blade inlet outlet angles, impact different angles on pump–turbines internal flow was explored, effects angle impellers counter-rotating pump were obtained. Afterward, streamline vorticity two-stage impeller at analyzed. The results show that will have a certain pump–turbine. Different impact. variation is not for changes impeller. addition, location LE water impeller, turn affects contours near LE, also means area mainly dominated vortex stretching term.
